Helping the World...One Jonas Brothers Fan at a Time!

So, last year before the Burning Up Tour I started to put together a pre-party for the concert in Hershey. At first the party was small and not many people signed up, but then things started moving along. Before I knew it there were over 200 people on the list. So as I sat there and thought up ideas to do at the party, one thing really grabbed my attention and I thought why not make a difference. So instead of making this just any party, all of the girls at Hershey agreed that we should have a fund raiser for the boy's Change for the Children Foundation. No one was forced to donate, but some amazing people went out there and worked hard to raise as much money as they could! Like amounts in the hundreds of dollars! My job was just running the party and bringing everyone together to do this. That container in my hand was all the money we raised at the party. Before the show I went out and raised money on my own and also sold two Jonas Brothers tickets I had won from a contest and added 120 dollars into our grand total. I actually was blessed with the opportunity to meet Kevin, Nick, & Joe at the show through Team Jonas and stood there and got to personally tell the boys what we accomplished, and that was an amount just over 1700 dollars. Yes! We raised over 1700 dollars for the Change for the Children Foundation. And I had the absolute honor of telling them that and putting all the boys, including one of their managers, in awe. At first they were all like, no way you've got to be kidding, and then I kept explaining and they were just like WOW! My organizational skills and compassion to help people was an advantage in the long wrong, because I encouraged so many people to donate to the cause. That's how we reached over 1700 dollars, which was 700 past our initial goal of 1000.

Imagine how many children we helped with the money we raised. That was the whole point of this party and so many people put their time and efforts into making it so successful and helping so many children. We are all blessed people and when you have the resources and compassion to pass those blessings along, it's the people around you that put the most inspiration through your soul. Kevin, Nick, and Joe did that for me and for everyone at that party. Their passion and caring attitudes are contagious and we can help the world.

So there's my story! I hope it encourages all of you to make a difference! Show the boys you care. I'm not saying throw a huge party like this, but maybe go out and raise money on your own to donate to the boys' foundation. Every little bit counts, even if you're just giving your time to volunteer. Just remember, WE DECIDE and WE DONATE. It's up to all of us to make a difference. Jonas Brothers fans are the best, regardless of what anyone says!
