My Grandparents Have Diabetes
My Grandparents are diabetic. It's hard at times for it to sink in, but most of the time, me, my mum, aunties or uncles have to control how much sugar they eat. They don't seem to care, but I do.
Yesterday, we were at my cousin's birthday party and my Granddad decided to eat cake. When I caught him, he would not listen to me. I tried again and I eventually had to take the plate away. However my Grandma will listen right away. If any of my grandparents had too much sugar, they would fall ill. that's why I take as much care as possible. My grandparents are old people so their sugar levels have to be taken extra care of.
Granddad has done this loads of times however. They seem to get mad at me when I'm trying to take all the sweet stuff away from them. My Granddad has to be taken extra care off because he can get carried away if someone like me is not there to stop them.
So I hope there is a cure for diabetes as soon as possible before it is too late for my Grandparents.
