Recyle- It helps

About four years ago, some students at my school saw a need to recycle at school. We went to the school board and fought them for four years about getting recycling bins in each classroom. Eventually, we did get them and now in my classroom we empty the small bins at least once a week. It is full to the brim with mostly paper and some plastic pieces. We also empy the younger grades' bins every other week. Our school also takes aluminum pop cans and recycles them to help pay for scholarships for the eigth graders who will attend a private shool. Currently we have 3 $500 scholarships and 2 $1000 scholarships availible. Recycle. It helps.
