My Brother Died of Cancer

Febuary 10th 2006: A drastic change occurred in my life this day because that's the day my little brother passed away from cancer. He was diagnosed with cancer when he was about 3 years old and died when he was 5 and a half years old. When my little brother passed away, I realized that you can't take things for granted and you thank god for everyday that passes by. Me and my brother had our fights, but I was still really sad when he passed away as I love him a lot and I'm glad that he was my brother. I try to tell everyone I know about not taking things for granted and to appreciate every minute you get in your life with your loved ones. So many people takes normal things like going to school for granted, but I don't anymore because my brother never got the chance to go to school. So many people come up to me in school and say that i am their inspiration and they feel like they can talk to me about anything. But when I'm down and can't get out of it, I just listen to A Little Bit Longer or Eternity because those songs make me realize that I can't lose my hope or faith!! There will come a day when my hopes and dreams will come true! One thing I want you to remember - you can't tell just by looking at a person if that person has gone through something tragic or devastating! So be kind to everyone you meet!
